Setup your project

Before going any further, if you are using Hiptest on-premises with JIRA Server, you first need to configure the Hiptest add-on.

If you are using Hiptest cloud with JIRA Server, you will need to allow access to Hiptest for the following IP addresses: 185.60.151.19 and 94.125.104.17.

You can go on reading once everything is setup or if you are using JIRA Cloud.

Link Jira instance

Add your Jira Server or Cloud address, and click the Link button. This will give you the ability to create bi-directional links between Hiptest and Jira issues.

Step 2: Select a list of Jira projects

When using Jira Cloud, you can go 1 step further and create Jira issues directly from Hiptest. In order to do so, you have to setup your current Hiptest project and link it with your Jira project(s)

Update Jira projects

Click on Update enabled Jira projects

Synchronize using your Jira credentials (username & password). Be careful not to use your email but your Jira username and password.

Mandatory fields and troubleshooting

If your Jira issue type has custom mandatory fields, Hiptest will allow you to fill them in. Currently most of the issue types are supported. If your issue types are unsupported, don’t hesitate to contact us at support@hiptest.com.

Hiptest can only display custom mandatory fields that are associated to the Jira Default Issue Screen of your project. If the creation of an issue fails, don’t hesitate to check the Screens configuration of your custom mandatory fields:
