Automating Behavior Driven Development Scenarios in TestComplete

SmartBear is excited to announce a new integration between HipTest and TestComplete, the easiest-to-use automated UI testing tool for desktop, mobile, and web applications!

The integration allows HipTest users who have created Behavior Driven Development (BDD) scenarios in HipTest to quickly import them into TestComplete. The scenarios will maintain the same folder structure you have organized in HipTest, inside of TestComplete. If you make any changes to your scenarios in HipTest, those changes will automatically be reflected in TestComplete – same goes for the reverse scenario.

Once inside of TestComplete you’ll be able to use the tool’s industry leading Record and Replay functionality to quickly automate tests for each of your BDD scenarios without writing any code.

From there, you’ll be able to run those automated tests in TestComplete, or start them with your favorite CI/CD tool (like Jenkins or Bamboo), and report on whether those tests passed or failed right inside of HipTest.

Want to see the integration live?

On Wednesday, January 30th we’re hosting a webinar to show you how using HipTest in conjunction with TestComplete allows you to accelerate continuous testing regardless of someone’s technical expertise.

To accommodate our users around the world, we’ll be running two separate (but identical) sessions – one at 9:00am ET / 3:00pm CET, and another at 2:00pm ET / 8:00pm CET.

During the webinar, you’ll learn:

  • How BDD can accelerate your continuous testing strategy
  • Best practices on integrating with Jenkins
  • Live demo of the HipTest-TestComplete integration
  • Other new TestComplete features
